Your tour of Chiang Rai may begin at Wat Phra Singh, the Temple of the Lion Buddha, built in 1385. Its name comes from the fact that inside it was an ancient statue of the Buddha, which is now preserved in Chiang Mai. About 300 meters away you can visit Wat Phra Keo, known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Built in the 15th century, it is famous in Thailand for housing a replica of one of the country's most revered Buddha statues. Also can not miss the museum Baan Dam Northern Thailand or Black House. It is a kind of open-air museum with several teak buildings decorated with animal skulls and bones.
