Brewster Will Be Returning To Animal Crossing New Horizons from Hedda Chapman's blog

Despite the fact that New Horizons had been one of Nintendo's most successful releases in quite some time, and with seasonal updates becoming a common practice within the game, a new one is rumored to be coming soon, which may introduce a beloved character! New Horizons, the latest installment in the Animal Crossing franchise, has been hailed as one of the most significant gaming discoveries of the year 2020, but the game has been severely lacking in post-launch content, aside from the occasional update.

The Fall and Winter seasons are quickly approaching, and if you're a fan of Animal Crossing, you'll find a lot ACNH items to look forward to in the upcoming season updates. Currently, new rumors and leaks have hinted at the possibility of a beloved character from previous Animal Crossing games making a comeback in New Horizons during a future update.

Notes from a Nintendo leakerBrewster will be included in a future update.
Leaks are far too common in the gaming industry, and while Nintendo has done a good job of keeping some of these leaks under wraps, they have occasionally made their way into the public domain. The same can be said for the future of New Horizons, as noted leaker SamusHunter2 stated that the next major update for AC will be released at the very latest by the end of the month.

ACNH is an abbreviation for Acknowledgement of National Honor.
The major update, which will most likely introduce Brewster and his bar where you can catch up with old friends, is expected to be released no later than November at the earliest possible. In the event of a delay after September, the team has taken precautions to ensure that the Halloween event can be installed without the need for a new update. Brewster, as the name implies, is a coffee barista who, in previous games, would sell cups of joe to your character for approximately 200 AC bells. While it hasn't been confirmed as of yet, SamusHunter2 has speculated that a new Nintendo Direct will be broadcast sometime within the next week or so.

I mentioned "around the time of the WarioWare launch" back in July. Samus Hunter | Nintendo Leak inside (@SamusHunter2) September 4, 2021 — The 8th or 9th of September is still possible, but I personally expect the week after because of other presentations and the game review period/launch — Samus Hunter | Nintendo Leak inside (@SamusHunter2) September 4, 2021We'll have to wait and see what the future of New Horizons holds over the next couple of months, but based on these rumors, players could be in for some exciting new additions in the near future.
