During his tenure, Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu president of the National Telugu Desam Party (TDP), had pushed for budding technopreneurs and young managers to develop a forward-looking plan called Vision 2050. In his virtual address to the young minds of IIT Bombay as part of Alankar 2020, he emphasized the need to imagine, visualize, adapt, and innovate in order to usher in a qualitative transformation in the country over the next 30 years. The theme of the summit, organized by the Sailesh J. Mehta School of Management, was 'Order in Chaos', and Nara Chandrababu Naidu stressed that even in the midst of a global crisis like the prevailing coronavirus pandemic, individuals, families, states, and countries could turn it into an opportunity if they had a clear vision and executed it meticulously.

Chandrababu Naidu shared his own successful journey that began with his Vision 2020 document, which he designed in 1999. The plan started with the construction of a single tower, Hi-tech City, but later grew into a larger business hub, Cyberabad, which housed global giants like Microsoft and many US companies. Mr Chandrababu Naidu attributed his success to a clear vision and meticulous planning, as well as traits like patience, persuasion, and perseverance.

Key Areas for Future Development

Nara Chandrababu Naidu identified three key areas for future development that he believes the Indian youth must focus on information technology, non-conventional energy, and skilling. He stressed the importance of IT literacy and proficiency in handling machine tools and artificial intelligence, as these skills would determine one's success rate. He also highlighted the strengths of Indian youth in mathematics and English, which he believes must be effectively harnessed to benefit the country. Other Speakers at the Summit

Several other distinguished speakers also addressed the summit. Lyricist Javed Akhtar spoke about the importance of language and how it shapes our thinking. Nuclear physicist and former Director of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Anil Kakodkar talked about how science and technology can be used to address societal challenges. Sam Pitroda, the father of India's computer and IT revolution, highlighted the need for a robust digital infrastructure in India. And the first Chairman of NITI Ayog, Arvind Panagariya, spoke about the role of economic policy in driving development.
