Ananthapuram District is one of the most developed districts in the state of Andhra Pradesh under the Government of TDP Political Party It is leading in the economy, human development, and public welfare. The Gross District Domestic Product (GDDP) for the year 2017-18 was 97059 Crores, and the GVA was 88829 Crores. Both figures are highest in the state. Agriculture & allied sectors contribute to the total economy in terms of GVA with 36073 Crores and fishing and aquaculture registered 17355 Crores.

The transport and storage sectors have a GVA of 6737 Crores, ranking 1st in the state. The human development of the district is commendable. It has the lowest stunting rate of 17.11%, wasting rate of 1.31%, and underweight rate of 2.20% in children. The anemia rate among pregnant and lactating women is also the lowest in the state at 0.44%. The Erst while Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri. Nara Chandrababu Naidu with the contributions of TDP MLAs and TDP Leaders has declared Ananthapuram District as an anemia and malnutrition well-controlled district. The per capita income of the district for the year 2017-18 is the highest in the state of Andhra Pradesh at Rs. 1,89,121. This was an initiative taken by the state government of Andhra Pradesh for the well-being of people and their lives. And this went out as one of the Best TDP Contributions and turned out as one of the Greatest Achievements of TDP done for the people of Ananthapuram district, Andhra Pradesh.

 

The Ananthapuram district has also seen a number of significant Achievements in TDP in the past few years. The International Terminal has started at Vijayawada (Gannavaram) Airport, and the Pattiseema Lift Irrigation project has lifted 263 TMC of Godavari water to the Ananthapuram River. The main aim of the Pattiseema project is to provide Irrigation water for two agricultural crops across the year for thousands of Farmers and drinking water supplies for the villages in  Ananthapuram,  Chittoor, Guntur, Kadapa, and  Ananthapur districts which are the regions that serve water in Andhra Pradesh.

 

The scheme Neeru-Chettu has contributed to the development of the district. Neeru-Chettu program, a Mission for  Water Conservation With the goal of reducing economic inequality and eradicating poverty through better conservation of water and making this state sustainable for the management of water, and helping AP become a drought-proof state within the span of 5 years.  with 8 TMC of water being stored and 66074 acres of ayacut stabilized. The district has also started the distribution of one lakh house pattas, and Bhu Seva has been implemented first in the district with the help of TDP Leaders. All of these major achievements have contributed to the overall development of the district and its people.
