Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães' £100 million (approx. 17.21 billion won) buyout has been revealed.

"Newcastle manager Eddie Howe said that Guimarães' £100 million (approximately 17.21 billion won) buyout clause is only valid until June 30," The Athletic reported on June 26 (KST).

Guimarães is a Brazilian defensive midfielder. His biggest strength is his kicking. His accurate right-footed kicks allow him to be the center of the buildup from the back. His ball-keeping is also very good. As expected of a Brazilian, he has a great dribbling ability and is good at breaking away.

A product of Brazil's Gremio Ozascu Odas youth system, Guimarães made his professional debut in 2017. He became a regular in the first team in 2018 and a solid starter in 2019, establishing himself as one of the league's top players. He was named Brazilian Serie A Team of the Year after leading his team to a fourth-place finish.

His outstanding performances helped the Guimarães reach the European stage. In January 2020, he moved to Olympique Lyonnais. The transfer fee was €20 million (approximately $286 million). He became an integral part of Lyon's midfield.

Guimarães joined Newcastle in the January 2022 transfer window. The transfer fee was €50.1 million. In the 2021-22 season, Guimarães 바카라 continued his good form with five goals and one assist in 17 games. He was named Newcastle"s Player of the Month in April and again in May, becoming the second player of the month in a row.

Guimarães continued his breakout season for Newcastle last season. He scored four goals and provided five assists in 32 English Premier League (EPL) games, helping Newcastle qualify for the UEFA Champions League. He also played two matches for Brazil at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Guimarães' form has continued this season. He has four goals and seven assists in 45 games. In the Premier League, he has four goals and six assists in 32 games. Newcastle is in seventh place in the Premier League thanks to Guimarães. Without him, they wouldn't even be guaranteed a seventh-place finish.

Recently, Guimarães has been the subject of transfer speculation, with Football Transfers reporting that "City are considering triggering his £100 million buyout clause. City are keen on Guimarães as they look to bolster their midfield." However, the £100 million buyout is reportedly only valid until June 30th.

"Guimarães is known for controlling the tempo of the game, breaking down opposing attacks and contributing offensively with goals and assists. Pep Guardiola is particularly fond of his versatility and tenacity," he added.

Guimarães himself seems to be keen on a move. "Guimarães is likely to leave Newcastle at the end of the season in search of a Champions League qualifying club," according to Football Transfer. "I don't know how long I will be here, but I hope this situation will last longer," Guimarães said in a recent interview.
