Daejeon Hana Citizen ends its training camp in Vietnam by winning the 'Hana Play Cup'. Head coach Lee Min-sung expressed his satisfaction with the tournament.

Daejeon came from behind to defeat Viettel 2-1 in the final of the Vietnam Investment Development Bank (BIDV) Invitational Hana Play Cup at Hang Dai Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam on July 27 at 7:30 p.m. (KST). Daejeon were crowned champions.

It wasn't going to be a one-sided affair, though, and they struck right back. In the 25th minute, Kim In-gyun drove into the back of the defense and sent a low cross that Leandro slotted home for the equalizer. It was a sharp run and a calm finish.

The Hang Dai Stadium erupted in cheers. In the 28th minute of the second half, Kim Hyun-woo was fouled in the box and a penalty kick (PK) was awarded. Nguyen Duc Hoang Minh stepped up to take the spot kick and aimed for the bottom left corner, but he missed the target.

After surviving the crisis, Daejeon turned the game around. In the 31st minute, a long ball from Cho Yoo-min found Leandro, who was able to break the line. He tried to shoot past the goalkeeper, who was out in front of the goal, and it went into the empty net. In the remaining time, Daejeon settled down to consolidate and eventually won the title.

Coach Lee Min-sung said, "It was a tough game because we conceded an early goal. But the players did their best until the end. It is meaningful that we overcame the crisis well. We will focus on the areas we need to work on before the league starts and do our best to show a better performance."

On today's opponents, Viettel said: "We saw it at the AFC Asian Cup 2023, but I think Southeast Asian football as a whole has improved. I felt that there were no easy teams. Their technical skills have improved a lot. In some ways, they were better than our team. I think the players were inspired, as well as myself. It was a very good match."

"We focused on getting fit," said Lee Min-sung, who prepared for the cup alongside the league. It was a good opportunity to test different players. I'm grateful to the chairman for the opportunity to participate and experience the tournament. I hope it will be a good tournament with many outstanding teams."

The buildup to today's game didn't go as well as expected. "We were outnumbered during the buildup," said Lee Min-sung. We need to prioritize the areas where we didn't regain the flow quickly. If we can improve on that, I think we'll be good enough," he said.

"We still don't have a 100 percent squad. It's too early to judge. We've got Lee Sun-min on international duty and a couple 카지노사이트 of vacancies. When those players come in, we will be more solid. After that, I think the tactics we are preparing will come out."

After the Vietnam training camp, Daejeon will travel to Kagoshima, Japan, for a final quenching session. In conclusion, Lee Min-sung said, "In this training camp, we did physical and tactical training together. The players are very tired. In two to three days, we will return to Korea. It's encouraging that the players didn't give up even when they were tired. In Japan, we will start perfecting our tactics and systems such as set pieces in practice," he concluded the press conference.
