Abhaneri is a small lost village in Rajastan, almost on the border with Uttar Pradesh, famous for the well with staircase of Chand Baori , a small architectural marvel and one of the largest and deepest stepped wells in India.
According to a legend, this well was built in a night by the spirits, and much more probably was built in the seventh century by King Chand.
